33

Symmetrical
And practical
And oh so very matter of factual

Life of mine how do I love thee
Let me count the ways
In years and months and counted days

I love thee in the rainy days, curled up with the ones I adore
My fire logs, my lover, my book, without a cover
The misty lights through frosty windows, in love and safeness consumed and smothered

I love thee in the summer days
Lazy pool, fresh watermelon, children playing, doggies barking
Sizzeling steaks, no time constraints, friendly talking, sharing, laughing, caring

I love the deep heartfelt days
Every moment so crystal clear, purposeful and passionate, with meaning it resonates
Piercing love, bursting veins so deep, forming rivers of red in which doings are bled

I love the body feelings
Comfortable in skin, know what I have and where I’ve been
Know what I want, and what the future will bring

I even love the sharpest pain
Raw feelings, bare and plain, when sadness falls like tears of rain
You can no more, but pick up and finish the race, even if it’s not in first place

I love the untold stories left
Wishing dreams, with promises of depth
When the tomorrows and hopes can be felt and glimpses are theft

I love the tired satisfactions
Of days well spent, with human fractions
Pieces of puzzles fit snuggly together, and life is as light as the lightest of feathers

Life of mine how do I love thee
Symmetrical
And practical
And oh so very matter of factual
With warmth and care and o so free
The answer for now is thirty three…
